Add boot medium disk
The window displays the table with disks that that can be added to the boot medium. In order to add any disk, select “disk” and click “add”. The boot medium uses two disks as active and all other disks as spare disks. When the boot medium already has two active disk, each new one is added as a spare. If the boot medium is configured as a single disk, adding a new one will modify the boot medium to mirrored configuration. After modification to a mirrored configuration it is not possible to revert back to the single disk configuration. However, it is possible to remove the active disk. In this case, the boot medium will be displaying a warning that it is in degraded state. Finally, when a new disk is added to boot medium that has the active disk missing, a new disk is automatically added as an active disk and the boot medium starts the recovery process (copying the data to the newly added disk).
