Share protocols

With the Share protocols function you can enable/disable the NFS service or SMB service of a given share and set individual options for the share (in addition to global protocol settings).

NOTE: 

  • Changing these settings is possible from the edited share, in its Option dropdown menu.
  • In case the share is inactive, access to settings will be available after activation of this share.


NFS service:

In order to get access to the share please make sure you include the correct server name or IP address for Read/Write access IPs.

You can set the following additional options::

  • Insecure connections,
  • Synchronous data record,
  • Insecure lock requests,
  • All squash,
  • No root squash.

SMB service:

In case of SMB settings the following options are available for shares to set or change:

  • Read only,
  • Visible,
  • Handling large directories.
  • User access permissions: 
    • Guest (anyone without password),
    • Users with password.
  • Advanced: 
    • Inherit owner,
    • Inherit permissions.

In order to save new settings click the Apply button.
